During the first nine months of the year, Cemex' turnover declined by 7.2 per cent to US$10,722.4m while the EBITDA was 1.4 per cent lower at US$1,974.3m. Cemex USA announced Thursday that four of its cement manufacturing plants have earned the US Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR® certification in 2015. The US Environmental Protection Agency announced that Cemex Puerto Rico will spend an estimated US$1.7m on pollution control measures to reduce NOx emissions from its plant in Ponce.
