New director general appointed at Kavkazcement

Igor Nikolenko has been appointed the new General Director of CJSC Kavkazcement, part of Eurocement. Voronezh Cement output reaches 1Mt, Russia

Voronezh Cement, part of the Eurocement group, produced 1Mt as at 3 September 2015, some 100,000t more than the same period of last year. The dry-process plant is located 200km south of Voronezh, and is well placed for road and rail transportation.

Eurocement launches Ulyanovsk plant, Russia

Uzbekistan: Ahangarancement full-year output rises

Ahangarancement, part of Eurocement Group, produced 1.24Mt of clinker and 1.7Mt of cement in 2014, a YoY increase of 6.2 per cent (72,500t) and five per cent (80,400t), respectively. The company said that its shipments rose by 6.5 per cent to 1.72Mt in 2014, (+105,300t). During the year, Ahangarancement started to produce cement types PC 400 KD20 SSPC 400 D20 in 2014, of which it produced 84,610t and 47,922t respectively.

Wärtsilä to supply 11 power plants to Eurocement

Wärtsilä has been contracted to supply power plants for 11 cement factories of Eurocement Group in Russia. The project is part of a modernisation program of the factories which focuses on energy efficiency and environmental upgrading. LSR Group is selling its Slantsy plant in the Leningrad region of Russia to the country’s leading cement producer, Eurocement Group. The parties have signed preliminary sales agreement with Eurocement having obtained approval from Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS). Eurocement and Sinoma sign modernisation contracts

Eurocement Group and Sinoma International Engineering Co  have signed an agreement for the modernisation of three plants at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Beijing. Eurocement has signed a US$128m contract with China CAMC Engineering, a unit of Sinomach, for the supply of equipment, as well as design, installation, and training for a new cement plant in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan, the group said in a statement Monday. Belgorodskiy Cement monthly output increases 6% YoY

Belgorodskiy Cement, a member of Russia’s Eurocement group, produced 155,439t of cement, six per cent more than the same month of 2013. The company witnessed increased demand for high-quality PC-500-D0-N cement during April 2014. A total of 27,325t of this cement type was produced, 15,077t more than during the comparative period in the year before.
