Eurocement Group to invest over EUR1.5bn in expansion

Russia's leading cement producer Eurocement Group is to invest over EUR1.5bn in five expansion projects of its production facilities until 2015. Among them, the plant in Voronezh Province, with a capacity of 2.4Mt, is to be put into operation by the end of 2012. Another project involves the installation of new production facility with the capacity of 1.3Mt in the Nevyansky Tsementnik plant in the Sverdlovsk Province. (Source: SKRIN Newswire).

Katavsky Cement sets new production record, Russia

Katavsky Cement, part of Russian market leader Eurocement Group, produced 146,008t of cement in August 2012, surpassing last year’s record of 138,005t. Eurocement awards contract for new power facilities, Russia

Russia’s leading cement producer, Eurocement Group, is to build power facilities in the Samara region and has signed a contract with FGC UES for their construction. Power facilities to be constructed include a 220kW transmission line and a 220kV electric power substation, SKIRIN news reports.

Pikalevskiy Cement production rises, Russia

Russia-based producer Pikalevskiy Cement reported a rise in cement production of three per cent in 2011 to 1.78Mt, SKRIN newswire reports. The company, which operates in the Leningrad region and is part of the Eurocement Group, said clinker production amounted to 1.55Mt, up 12.2 per cent on 2010 figures. Shipments for last year reached 1.78Mt, a YoY increase of 3.8 per cent.
