Fauji Cement's net profits rise 31 per cent in 4Q18

Fauji Cement Company Ltd (FCCL) announced its financial results for the year ended 30 June 2018 on 27 August. Its net profits were up by 31 per cent YoY to PKR3.429bn (US$27.8m). This was possible due to a positive tax reversal in 4Q18 and rehabilitation of cement line II. Fauji Cement Company Ltd (FCCL) saw a 28 per cent YoY increase in net profit to PKR854m (US$7.3m) in 3QFY18 from PKR669m, earned in same quarter last year, according the company's filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Fauji Cement records a 1QFY18 net profit of PKR444m

Fauji Cement (FCCL) has earned net profit after tax of PKR444m (US$4.2m) in 1QFY18, down by 27 per cent YoY. The company's sales stood at PKR4.79bn, up by nine per cent YoY . FCCL reported incurring distribution cost of PKR40m and administrative cost of PKR74m during this period. This translates distribution cost increasing by 18 per cent but administrative cost fell by five per cent on YoY basis.

Pakistan producer Fauji Cement Company Ltd (FCCL) reported a 54 per cent drop in net profit for the first nine months of the current fiscal to PKR1.972bn (US$18.8m). Fauji Cement Company Ltd (FCCL) has informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that a special Board of Directors of the company will be held on 9 December 2016 to discuss and approve the waste heat recovery power plant (WHRPP) for Line 1, and Wärtsilä's captive power plant at Jhang Bahtar, district Attock, Pakistan. FCCL plans to install 9MW WHRPP at its 3700tpd cement plant and a 16MW Wärtsilä power plant.
