Gujarat Sidhee Cement posts 28% rise in profit01 July 2021, Published under Cement NewsIndia’s Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd has reported a 27.8 per cent YoY rise in consolidated profit to INR207.9m (US$2.79m) in the 4QFY20-21, up from INR162.7m in the year-ago period. Revenue also increased 17.5 per cent YoY to INR1.94bn from INR1.65bn. In the full-year FY21 period, the company’s profit declined 31.9 per cent to INR305.4m from INR448.3m. Bestway Cement commissions solar power plant30 June 2021, Published under Cement NewsPakistan’s Bestway Cement and Reon Energy Ltd commissioned a 14.3MW captive solar power project at the producer’s unit in Farooqia, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The plant is reportedly part of a 50MW project deal dispersed across Bestway’s four locations in Farooqia, Chakwal, Kallar Kahar and Hattar. The new solar power plant is expected to generate around 78,385MWh annually, which would cut around 1Mt of CO 2 equivalent emissions over the lifetime of the project. |
