Pakistan reported a decline in dispatches for the first month of fiscal FY13-14 as the pace of construction slowed due to monsoon rains and Ramadan. During July 2013 (the first month of FY13-14), local cement sales fell 10.43 per cent YoY to 1.846Mt compared to 2.060Mt in July 2012. Pakistan export earnings rise in FY12-13

In the fiscal year ending 30 June 2013, Pakistan exported 9.073Mt of cement on revenues of US$577.73m compared to 8.748Mt at US$498.84m in the corresponding period of last year. These latest figures from Pakistan’s Federal Bureau of Statistics show that export volumes rose by 3.71 per cent while in dollar value terms, they were 15.81 per cent higher compared to the comparative period a year earlier. Pakistan hits domestic dispatch record

Pakistan achieved record domestic dispatches in the fiscal year 2012-13 (July-June) as sales crossed the 25Mt mark, 1.1Mt higher than last year’s 23.95Mt. Stagnant exports, however, held back the sector’s overall full-year performance. During the first 11 months of fiscal FY12-3, Pakistan exported 8.013Mt of cement and earned US$524.68m, up 1.27 per cent and 17.43 per cent, respectively. Pakistan's June dispatches dragged down by lower exports

Total dispatches by Pakistan cement manufacturers during June 2013 fell 6.44 per cent to 2.702Mt compared to 2.888Mt in the previous month, held back mainly by lower export volumes. Domestic dispatches declined 1.4 per cent on monthly basis to 2.07Mt in June 2013 compared to 2.10Mt in the month before. Pakistan saw a rise in total dispatches for the first 11 months of the current fiscal but May 2013 sales declined by one per cent largely due to transport issues. During the first 10 months (July 2012-April 2013) Pakistan exported 6.943Mt on revenues of US$469.02m, compared to 7.016Mt at US$390.42m in the corresponding period of last year.
