Construction work on the new state-owned Potosí cement works in Bolivia will resume in July, according to House of Representatives member Gonzalo Barrientos. "In July, the works of the Potosí cement factory will restart, which is part of the economic reactivation measures. The construction of the new cement works in Potosí, Bolivia, is moving ahead as the movement of land at the site is scheduled to start in two months’ time, according to Williams Cervantes Beltrán, the town’s mayor. The Bolivian government has awarded the US$241m contract to construct a new cement plant in Potosí to a consortium of Germany-based thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions and Spanish companies Imasa and Valoriza (Sacyr Group). Bolivia’s government expects to sign Potosi contract in March

The Bolivian government anticipates to sign the contract for the construction of a new cement plant in Potosi in March. "I want to tell the department of Potosí, its factory is guaranteed with an investment of US$307m. Bolivia: Potosi plant ruled out

Bolivia’s president, Evo Morales, ruled out the building of a cement plant in Quiburi, Potosi.  The new works was expected to cost US$401m, including the building of a pipeline that feeds the plant. However, the project was postponed indefinitely although Empresa Pública Productiva Cementos de Bolivia (Ecebol) launched an international tender in February 2012 for the construction and commissioning of the plant.
