Domestic cement sales in Brazil totalled 4.5Mt in January 2019, according to the National Union of the Cement Industry (SNIC). When compared with January 2018, the latest data reflect an advance of 4.2 per cent. In terms of days worked, domestic sales advanced 2.5 per cent MoM. Cement sales in the Brazilian market remained largely stable at 3.964Mt in December 2018 from 3.97Mt in December 2017, according to the latest data from the country’s cement association, SNIC. Cement sales in the Brazilian market between January and November 2018 totalled 48.7Mt, representing a 1.2 per cent fall YoY, according to the National Union of the Cement Industry (SNIC). Cement sales in Brazil by domestic producers totalled 44.2Mt in the first 10 months of 2018, and were down 1.5 per cent YoY, according to SNIC, the country’s cement association. Brazil’s cement producers sold 4.564Mt of cement to domestic customers in September 2018, down 5.6 per cent when compared to the 4.835Mt sold in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement producers’ association, SNIC. Domestic cement sales in Brazil fell 2.4 per cent YoY to 4.9Mt in August 2018, according to the country’s cement association, SNIC. Brazil’s cement market contracted by 20.3 per cent YoY in May from 4.503Mt to 3.588Mt (excluding imports), according to the latest data published by SNIC, the country's cement association.
