Italcementi plans to raise its exports from Bulgaria, which will join the European Union next year, on the back of increased capacities, a senior official of the company said on Thursday. Sunken vessel blocks Bangladesh port channel

At least 30 foreign and local merchant ships have been stranded at Bangladesh’s main Chittagong port after a sunken vessel had jammed the port channel, officials said on Thursday. Sri Lanka recently slashed tariffs on Indian imports under a bilateral trade deal, but said Monday it would exclude top import good cement for at least the next two years, to protect local industry.
