China Shanshui Cement records 15% rise in revenue

China Shanshui Cement has recorded a 23.6 per cent YoY decline in attributable profit to CNY1.78bn (US$278.83m) in the first nine months of the year, compared to CNY2.33bn in the year-ago period. However, revenue advanced 14.8 per cent to CNY17.57bn from CNY15.31bn in the 9M20.

Attock Cement records 22% decline in revenue

Pakistan’s Attock Cement has announced a 21.6 per cent YoY decrease in consolidated revenue to PKR5.73bn (US$32.86m) in the quarter ending 30 September 2021, compared to PKR7.31bn in the year-ago period. Profit also fell 46 per cent YoY to PKR373.3m from PKR691.7m in the 1QFY20-21.

Yanbu Cement Co sees revenue up 10% in 9M21

Saudi Arabia’s Yanbu Cement Co has reported a 55.8 per cent YoY decline in net profit to SAR36.4m (US$9.71m) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to SAR82.48m in the year-ago period. Revenue also fell 13.5 per cent YoY to SAR207.78m from SAR240.36m in the 3Q20. During the first nine months of the year, the company recorded a 28.7 per cent decrease in profit to SAR149.69m from SAR210.12m in the 9M20. However, revenue was up 10 per cent YoY to SAR742.87m in the 9M21.

ACC reports 6% rise in EBITDA for the 3Q21

India’s ACC has reported a 6.1 per cent YoY rise in EBITDA to INR7.12bn (US$95.03m) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to INR6.71bn in the year-ago period. UltraTech Cement Ltd, an Aditya Birla group company, announced its financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2021. Saudi Arabia’s Yamama Cement Co has posted a 31.6 per cent YoY decline in sales to SAR170.7m (US$45.52m) in the quarter ending 30 September, compared to SAR249.65m in the year-ago period. Net profit was down 58.1 per cent YoY to SAR39.97m from SAR95.32m. Carthage Cement sees 39% hike in 9M revenue

Tunisia-based Carthage Cement saw its revenue in the 9M21 jump by 39 per cent YoY to TND239.2m (US$85.4m), according to ilBoursa. Oman Cement has posted a net profit after tax of OMR2.8m (US$7.28m) in the first nine months of the year, which is flat compared to OMR2.8m seen in the year-ago period. Total revenue for January-September 2021 was down 9.3 per cent YoY to OMR35.3m from OMR38.9m in the 9M20.

Taiwan’s Asia Cement has reported a 7.9 per cent YoY rise in September revenue to TWD7.83bn (US$278.97m) from TWD7.26bn in the year-ago period. In the first nine months of the year, revenue increased 13.3 per cent to TWD61.81bn from TWD54.56bn. Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has recorded an 8.5 per cent YoY rise in revenue to KZT12.05bn (US$28.33m) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to KZT11.11bn in the year-ago period. The company also saw sales volume for the period fall four per cent YoY to 535,200t. In the first nine months of 2021, revenue advanced 16 per cent to KZT28.81bn while sales volumes climbed four per cent to 1,375,464t.
