Cement dispatches in Peru increased eight per cent YoY to 1.173Mt in March 2022, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. In March 2021 dispatches were at a level of 1.089Mt. Italy's cement production index (base year 2015) fell from 99 in December 2021 to 65 in January 2022, or by 14 per cent when compared with January 2021, according to Federbeton, the country’s concrete association. Tajikistan to increase cement exports to 2Mt by 2024

Tajikistan plans to increase cement exports to 2Mt by 2024, with an annual growth of 200,000t, according to the latest forecast of key macroeconomic indicators for the country. Cement production is projected to increase to 7Mt by 2024, reports Trend. Currently cement capacity in Tajikistan reaches approximately 7.7Mta, according to The Global Cement Report, 14th Edition.

Cement demand in Iran stood at 5.72Mt in March 2022, according to the Iranian Cement Association. The domestic output of 5.67Mt of cement and 6.33Mt of clinker was sufficient to supply the home market as well as meet overseas demand through exports of 0.312Mt of cement and 0.853Mt.

Argentina’s cement demand increased 7.5 per cent YoY to 1,047,194t in March 2022 when compared with March 2021, when consumption reached 974,347t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. Senegalese cement sales see 6% upturn in January

In January 2022 Senegal’s cement market expanded 8.9 per cent when compared with December 2021 and 6.2 per cent when compared with January 2021, says the country’s National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD). Export sales declined 31.7 per cent MoM and 18.1 per cent YoY in January 2022.

APCMA reports local dispatches improve while exports fall in 9MFY22

According to the data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), Pakistan cement total dispatches (local and overseas) declined by 6.3 per cent in March 2022 to 5.04Mt against 5.37Mt in the same month of last fiscal year. Holcim -owned Lafarge Algérie has exported nearly 0.9Mta of cement and clinker in the first quarter of 2022. Total domestic cement sales in Vietnam reached 3,538,333t in February 2022, up 39 per cent YoY but down 14 per cent when compared with January 2022, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA).
