US$125m CAF loan signed for Guayaquil project

Holcim Ecuador SA has signed a loan contract for US$125m with the Latin American development bank, CAF. The funds will finance the modernisation of Holcim’s Guayaquil plant. Eurocement Group and Sinoma International Engineering Co  have signed an agreement for the modernisation of three plants at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Beijing. Holcim US Inc is planning to invest US$100m to modernise its Ada cement works which will see an increase in capacity at the Oklahoma-based plant.
