Tarmac plans Dunbar plant modernisation

UK-based Tarmac has announced plans to modernise its plant in Dunbar, Scotland. The proposal, submitted for approval to the East Lothian Council, includes the addition of a grinding unit, storage silo and a rail loading facility. Mordovcement plant, part of Eurocement, is implementing its modernisation plan to increase the reliability of existing equipment and further automate the productioni process, according to Esmerk Russian News. The cement producer is investing in a new cement milling shop, which will enable the semi-dry plant to produce cement and improve the company’s total performance.

LafargeHolcim starts Martres-Tolosane modernisation

On Monday, LafargeHolcim announced the start of the modernisation works at its Martres-Tolosane plant in France. The project represents an investment of more than EUR100m. The first phase of civil engineering was awarded to Toulouse-based Eiffage Génie Civil. The next 12 months will see the construction of the foundations of the new preheater tower and kiln line. The allocation of the next contracts will occur in the coming months, said the cement company.
