Cement sales in Brazil totalled 5.2Mt in October 2019, representing a 9.2 per cent increase when compared with October 2018, according to the country’s cement association, SNIC. Vietnamese cement sales rise 2% in September

Total Vietnamese cement sales reached 8.196Mt in September 2019, up two per cent YoY and one per cent MoM, according to the latest data by the Vietnam Cement Association (VNCA). Following its acquisition by PT Semen Indonesia, PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia (SBI) has changed its Holcim cement brand to Dynamix in an effort to strengthen its position in an increasingly-competitive national market. Semen Indonesia Group reported a 38.8 per cent YoY hike in sales volumes in September to 4,287,396t. Of this total Semen Indonesia saw its sales increase by 3.3 per cent YoY to 3,015,298t, which include a 39.4 per cent rise in export sales to 312,118t. ECEBOL sells BOB35m since start-up

Bolivia’s  new ECEBOL unit has sold BOB35m (US$5m) of cement since its recent start-up. The company produces IP-40 cement and since August has launched the product in Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, La Paz and Oruro. Total cement sales by Vietnamese producers slipped four per cent to 8.091Mt  in August 2019 when compared with the year-ago period, according to data by the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Sagar Cements sees improvement in consolidated production in August

India’s Sagar Cements has reported a 11.7 per cent YoY fall in its standalone production figures for August 2019, which declined to 182,891t from 207,008t. However, consolidated production climbed 2.5 per cent to 250,081t from 243,963t. Standalone cement sales were down 3.8 per cent YoY to 194,819t in the month, compared to 202,429t in August 2018. Meanwhile, consolidated cement sales advanced 8.9 per cent to 268,997t.

Vietnamese cement companies sold 7.497Mt of cement in June 2019, down four per cent YoY and 12 per cent MoM, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Sagar Cements records 22% rise in production for July

India’s Sagar Cements has seen a 22.3 per cent increase in consolidated cement production to 281,597t in July 2019, compared with 230,193t in the year-ago period. Standalone production rose 21.2 per cent to 200,808t from 165,629t. Consolidated cement sales also surged 25.1 per cent to 274,822, against 219,748 in July 2018.

Cimgabon cement output up 53% in 1Q19

Cimgabon’s cement production surged by 52.5 per cent to 112,349t in the first quarter of 2019 when compared with the 1Q18, when it produced 73,633, according to Directinfosgabon. The rise in output is attributed to more efficient use of production equipment and the resumption of cement production since July 2018. Cement sales increased 49.7 per cent YoY to 112,712 in the 1Q19 as domestic demand was robust. The value of sales rose 57.4 per cent YoY to XAF8.4bn (US$14.4m).
