Origen shortlisted for UK government CCUS funding

The UK government has named ZerCaL250, a collaboration using Origen's zero-carbon tech and Singleton Birch’s lime production know-how, as one of 13 projects shortlisted nationally for the second phase of its carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) cluster process.  It is also one of eight industrial carbon capture (ICC) projects in the government’s East Coast Cluster, supported by zero carbon partnership Zero Carbon Humber.   All 13 projects are in the running for government funding. ...

CRH posts 14% YoY increase in sales in 1H22

CRH has reported a 14 per cent YoY increase in sales to US$15bn in the first half of 2022. FLSmidth’s cement order intake increased eight per cent organically in the 2Q22, as a result of improved underlying performance and improved market conditions. Votorantim Cimentos’ regional results in the 2Q22 recorded strong revenues despite inflationary pressures. The domestic market of Brazil and operations in Europe, Asia and Africa were the highest performing areas with a decline in Latin American revenues.
