Over the past few years, Titan America has transformed its Pennsuco cement plant into a leading pioneer of green initiatives for the cement industry. As well as using alternative fuels for pyroprocessing, the company has excellent experience of energy-efficient production, improved recycling methods and water sustainability. Titan America operates a cement plant, limestone quarry, aggregates operation, block plant and ready-mix facility at its Pennsuco complex in Medley, Florida, USA. The Pennsuco cement works is the largest in Florida with a clinker and cement capacity of 2.2Mta and 2.5Mta, respectively.

With such a high permitted capacity, Pennsuco is also one of the biggest consumers of energy resources in the state. Fossil fuels such as coal, diesel and natural gas are the primary fuel sources for the clinker manufacturing process and, as such, Titan understands the importance of using alternative fuels currently available on the market.
