Eurocement’s Voronezh plant sees 5% rise in deliveries

Eurocement’s 3.075Mta cement works in Voronezh has increased its cement production by three per cent YoY to 1.87Mt in 2018, according to a company press release. Deliveries rose by five per cent YoY to 1.881Mt in 2018. The plant broke its monthly shipment record twice in the year: in June it shipped 202,000t of cement, followed by 206,000t of delivered product in August.

China National Building Materials (CNBM)

China National Building Materials (CNBM) is the main contractor on the upgrade project that recently got underway at Eurocement’s Akhangarancement plant at Akhangaransky in Uzbekistan. The project, which is estimated to cost over US$160m, will increase production capacity at the works to 3Mta. The new production line is due to be operational in mid-2020. 

Mordovcement carries out modernisation plan

Mordovcement plant, part of Eurocement, is implementing its modernisation plan to increase the reliability of existing equipment and further automate the productioni process, according to Esmerk Russian News. The cement producer is investing in a new cement milling shop, which will enable the semi-dry plant to produce cement and improve the company’s total performance.

Akhangarancement records production increase in May

Uzbekistan-based Akhangarancement has announced an increase in cement production for May 2018. The producer recorded a 2.7 per cent YoY increase to 175,024t in May, according to Uzbekistan Daily. The volume of clinker production also increased by 838t to 130,060t for the period. Plant maintenance which began in November 2017 was also successfully completed in May, including repairs to the rotary kilns and cement and raw mills by company personnel.

Lipetskcement brings new logistics facility online

Lipetskcement, part of the Eurocement Group, has launched a new RUB600m (US$10.4m) production and logistics facility for packing, palletising and shipping of cement. The investment enables Lipetskcement to ship up to 10,000tpd of cement. The company has increased its loading rate of bulk cement trucks by more than five times. In the packing section, the bagging rate has more than doubled to 2400bags/h.

NLMK Group to supply raw materials to Eurocement

International steel and vertically-integrated company NLMK Group has signed a five-year contract for the supply of raw materials to the production facilities of Eurocement group. The contract, which runs until the end of 2022, covers a supply of up to 5Mta of raw materials to seven Eurocement Group companies. Russia’s Eurocement and Uzbekistan’s Uzqurilishmateriallari have signed a letter of intent (LoI) to build a cement plant in Uzbekistan. Eurocement eyes Denmark and Britain markets

“Contracts in Denmark and Britain are forthcoming,” according to Eurocement’s CEO, Mikhail Skorokhod, as the company expands its global reach. Ukraine: Pushka Cement reports UAH5.8m loss in 2015

Kramatorsk-based Pushka Cement Plant in the Donetsk region of Ukraine has preliminarily reported loss of UAH5.835m (US$219,364) for 2015. The Eurocement Ukraine subsidiary reported a loss of UAH17.178m in 2014. The assets of the company made up UAH 70.195m, receivables UAH 53.927m and current liabilities UAH 0.111m.
