US first-quarter figures shipments impacted by harsh winter

Shipments of cement in the Peruvian market totaled 6,098,738t from January to August 2012, 16.84 per cent more than the same period of 2011 (5,219,828t), the Association of Cement Producers (Asocem) has reported. Katavsky Cement sets new production record, Russia

Katavsky Cement, part of Russian market leader Eurocement Group, produced 146,008t of cement in August 2012, surpassing last year’s record of 138,005t. According to these figures, the company’s plan was exceeded by 12.3 per cent. For the eight months to August 2012, the plant manufactured 782,595t, 3.9 per cent above the company’s projected target.
