Cementos Yura to export cement Bolivia
Gloria group filial Cementos Yura has been cleared by the Bolivian government to export 10,000 - 15,000t of cement per month to Pando. Humberto Vergara Quintero, general manager Yura explains Bolivia has an annual consumption of 2.6Mt of cement and the installed capacity meets up to 90% of the demand heated by the construction industry (with a 9.5% growth from Jan - June 2010), thus prices were raising and the government formed a rotating fund of US$3m for imports and stabilise the market.
