Aditya Birla cement despatches down

Cement despatches of the Aditya Birla Group during February fell by 0.93 per cent to 2.18Mt over the same month last fiscal while production was marginally up by 0.79 per cent at 2.23Mt. The despatches of Grasim during February 2005 stood at 1.09Mt while production at 1.10Mt, it said in a release here on Thursday. Ultratech’s despatches in the month stood at 1.10Mt while production was 1.13Mt.

Aditya Birla Group’s cement despatches during the April-February 05 rose 4.94 per cent at 23.7Mt over the last fiscal figures while production grew by 5.15 per cent to 23.7Mt. Clinker despatches for the group during the April-February period were down 2.72 per cent at 28.1Mt over the corresponding previous year period.
