The Kuwaiti Public Ports Authority (PPA) has recently held a meeting to discuss ways to ensure a smooth movement of coalition forces’ goods to Iraq, the Arab Times reported on Thursday.  The PPA’s General Manager Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah was quoted as saying the meeting came upon a request from the coalition forces to use Kuwaiti ports to transfer goods that are necessary for replenishing the forces and equipment in Iraq, especially limestone, cement and construction materials, said Sabah.

Sabah added that to help transport coalition forces’ goods to Iraq will lead to a seven fold increase in the workload of the Kuwaiti ports. "The PPA is working hard to ensure there is no pressure on the import of goods into the country."
