German Heidelberg Cement To Raise Prices in 2005

German cement company Heidelberg Cement is planning to raise the price of cement by Euro 9.5 (US$12.24) per tonne as of January 2005, for the third time in a row, so as to take advantage of the improved market situation in Germany, it was reported on November 5, 2004. At the same time, the company also wants to improve the conditions of its Euro1.07bn (US$1.38 bn) credit from 2003 as well as to extend its duration. With this step, Heidelberg Cement will aim at further improvements of its financial structures. The credit was part of a large debt rescheduling and financing package of
