Egypt’s Minister of Finance, Youssef Boutros-Ghali, and the Sudanese Minister of Industry, Jalal Yousif al-Dagir, discussed ways of boosting the trade relations between the two countries and the possibilities to raise the exports of Egyptian cement to Sudan, it was reported on August 24, 2004.
During the talks, held as part of al-Dagir’s visit to the Egyptian capital Cairo, Boutros-Ghali called upon the Sudanese side to decrease the customs duties on Egypt’s cement exports. Published under Cement News
