Bangladesh: District detective branch of police seized a cargo vessel MV Shamin with large quantity of cement of Indian origin near Tarabo Ghat under Rupganj police station yesterday morning. The police also arrested four employees. Acting on a tip-off, a squad of DB police challenged while the Indian "Ambuja" brand of cement was being unloaded. As the vessel’s people failed show any valid papers of importing cement, the DB personnel seized it and arrested four persons. Later in the afternoon, the Deputy Commissioner and Police Super of Naraynaganj visited the cargo vessel. Counting of cement bags will start tomorrow in presence of a magistrate.
