Egypt ranked second among cement exporters to Spain in 2003 with about 1.441Mt, it was reported on June 13, 2004.  Egypt was preceded only by Turkey and was followed by Greece, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Romania. The country also ranked sixth in terms of marble exports after Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Greece and India with exports of about 5Mt.  Egypt was fifth among the world’s cement exporters in 2003 with exports totalling 7.4Mt. The country was preceded by Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia and Japan. A total of 13 Egyptian companies exported cement to foreign markets during the year. Published under Cement News
