Mitsubishi Materials Corp, Japan’s second-biggest cement maker, plans to restart its US import terminal for the first time in seven years, Naoki Ono, president of the company’s cement operations, told Bloomberg in a recent interview.
The company is preparing to reopen its terminal in California’s Long Beach as soon as the second half of 2015 and is considering a second US terminal in San Diego, Naoki Ono said. It is also eager to buy existing output plants or ally with others to secure supply, he added.
