Loma Negra reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of ARS238.05bn (US$166m), up 2.1 per cent YoY, supported by a 2.2 per cent increase in revenue from its cement, masonry cement and lime business.

Consolidated adjusted EBITDA declined 2.5 per cent to ARS48.18bn, although in US dollar terms it increased 12.5 per cent to US$38m. The adjusted EBITDA margin slipped to 20.2 per cent from 21.2 per cent. Net profit increased sharply to ARS7.04bn from ARS514m in 2Q25, primarily due to lower net financial costs.

Cement, masonry cement and lime sales volumes declined 1.4 per cent YoY to 1.19Mt, reflecting a weak April affected by heavy rainfall. May and June volumes were broadly in line with the previous year. Bulk cement demand remained comparatively strong, supported by concrete producers, industrial customers and construction companies, while bagged cement continued to suffer from weak retail, self-construction and refurbishment demand.

Despite the lower volumes, cement segment revenue increased 2.2 per cent as positive pricing supported sales. CEO Sergio Faifman said industry volumes had yet to regain the momentum expected by the company, although Loma Negra anticipates stronger activity during the second half of 2026.
