Pakistan cement's industry saw a fall in total dispatches in August 2018, dropping 8.3 per cent YoY to 3.452Mt from 3.76Mt in August 2017. This runs counter to the strong month of July when a growth of 5.1 per cent was recorded. Cement exports from Pakistan in December 2017 fell 11.3 per cent to 328,000t from 369,000t in the year-ago period, according to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers’ Association (APCMA). Total cement sales in Pakistan in February 2017 were 3.435Mt, down by 0.41 per cent from 3.449Mt during the corresponding month of last year, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). The Pakistan cement industry has achieved its highest-ever capacity utilisation rate at 98.61 per cent, dispatching 3.749Mt of cement in November 2016.
