Lafarge WAPCO is poised to establish a bag manufacturing firm in Nigeria to facilitate the packaging of its products. Texas Industries, Inc announced the sale of its Texas based packaged products operations to Charlotte, NC-based Bonsal American, a unit of Oldcastle, Inc. Indonesian cement producer, Semen Tonasa, a Semen Gresik subsidiary, is to construct cement packing plants in all provinces in eastern Indonesia. The Cochin Port Trust (CPT), India, has invited tenders for the establishment of a cement bagging plant, the Times of India reports. The port will lease six acres of land for a period of 30 years near the Q5 berth at Ernkaulam Wharf for the new plant.  The berth has a draft of 10 meters and rail tracks pass very close to it.
