Cement companies show positive performance in CDP ranking

International organisation CDP has released its annual ‘A List’ which names the world’s leading businesses and scores them on their approach to climate change, water security and deforestation. CDP report claims producers still need to vastly reduce CO2 levels

A new report by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) entitled 'Building Pressure', which analyses 13 of the world's largest publicly-listed cement companies, reveals that they need to more than double their emissions reductions if they are to limit global warming to below 2˚C, as agreed in the Paris Climate Deal.
