SGS Industrial Services GmbH has been commissioned by thyssenkrupp Polysius with the mechanical and electrical assembly of a new 4000tpd clinker production plant. The plant will be built at Ciments Calcia ( Heidelberg Materials ) in Airvault , France. Ciments Calcia (HeidlebergCement group) has completed the first phase of its kiln modernisation project at the company's plant in Bussac-Forêt, Nouvelle Aquitane, France. HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary, Ciments Calcia has presented the draft terms of a large-scale investment and reorganisation programme for several of its sites in France. The programme comprises investments of around EUR400m, of which nearly EUR300m is earmarked for the Airvault plant alone. FCT Combustion to install Turbo-Flex™ burner at Couvrot plant

FCT Combustion has just delivered a new Turbu-Flex™ burner to a client in France! The Turbu-Flex™ will be installed at Ciments Calcia's Couvrot plant in France, after the installation of its new calciner. The targets of the project are maximised use of alternative fuel, as well as improved control of the combustion. Commissioning is expected for 2021.

Ciments Calcia opens new distribution centre in Paris

Ciments Calcia opened a new distribution centre in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, France, on 4 July 2014, designed by Vib Architecture. The centre consists of two 20m dia silos that rise to a height of 37m. A third cylinder, which has a cut-out design includes a lift and a wrap-round metal staircase. The facility, which was cast in slipform, took three weeks to build.

A TEC GRECO, specialists in combustion engineering, is to supply Ciments Calcia (part of the Italcementi Group) with a natural gas modification kit to be be implemented at its Couvrot cement plant in France.
