Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) reported a 9.5 per cent YoY rise in sales for the first nine months of 2013 to 15.84Mt, meeting 72.3 per cent of its full-year target. Cement producers in Vietnam increased their output 13 per cent MoM and 17.6 per cent YoY to 5.2Mta in September, according to the country’s General Statistics Office (GSO). Pakistan cement sales are expected to increase by six per cent YoY in September 2013 on the back of a rise in domestic demand. Cement consumption in Spain continues its freefall with the figure for August down more than 23 per cent to 886,005t.
