DG Khan Cement Co Ltd (DGKC), informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that it has completed the installation of country's largest cement plant of 9000tpd at Hub, Baluchistan province, near Karachi. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued notices to several cement factory owners to appear on 20 April, with regards to clarifying their position on the drying out of the Shiri Katas Raj Temple Pond. The pond has allegedly been depleted due to the operation of cement plants in the area, which may have removed the underground water. DG Khan Cement (DGKC) of Pakistan has announced that its net profit for the 1HFY18 fell by 17 per cent YoY to PKR4.50bn (US$40.6m). DG Khan Cement Factory Ltd (DGKC) announced its 1QFY18 financial results on 18 October, posting a profit after tax of PKR2.83bn (US$26.8m) against PKR1.9bn earned in the corresponding quarter a year ago. This translates a growth of 49 per cent in profit on YoY basis, according to the company's notification to Pakistan Stock Exchange. DG Khan Cement (DGKC) of Pakistan announced unconsolidated FY17 net profit after tax of PKR7.97bn, down nine per cent YoY basis. The company also declared final cash dividend of PKR7.50/share, complying with 40 per cent mandatory payouts. Loesche has provided an update on its order to supply Pakistan producer DG Khan Cement Company with three grinding mills for its new 9000tpd clinker line in Hub in Balochistan province.
