Loesche secures Thanh Thang order

Loesche GmbH, Germany, has signed a new contract with Sinoma-NCDRI, China, to supply three vertical roller mills to Thanh Thang Group Cement JSC in Vietnam. The scope of delivery for this order also includes rotary feeders, water injection, metal detectors and sealing air fans. All of the equipment is to be delivered in 8 to 9 months' time and the mills will be put into operation as early as October 2016. Lafarge inaugurates new solid waste grinding unit in France

Lafarge has inaugurated a new solid waste grinding facility at its Saint-Pierre-la-Cour cement works in Mayenne, France. The new unit will help the French cement producer to increase its thermal substitution rate to over 80 per cent. The company sources around 60 per cent of its waste from the Loire and Bretagne area.

Philippines: Norzagaray plant inaugurates Horomill grinding mill

Republic Cement & Building Materials Inc inaugurated a 0.85Mta grinding mill at its cement plant in  Norzagaray, Bulacan province, Philippines, on Tuesday. Renato Sunico, president of Republic Cement, said that the FCB Horomill will lift the cement plant's total grinding capacity to 1.85Mta. The Norzagaray unit now comes under the wing of newly-formed CRH-Aboitiz Co following the divestment of assets by Lafarge Republic Inc last year.

Saudi: Eastern Province Cement Co begins trial operations of new mill

Eastern Province Cement Co has commenced trial operations of its new 150tph cement mill, with commercial operations set to begin in the second quarter of this year, according to a bourse statement issued Monday. The Saudi cement producer added that the relevant financial impact is difficult to be set at this stage as it depends on market supply and demand.

The foundation stone for the Emami Cement's new grinding plant was laid by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Panagarh, West Bengal, on Saturday. "The 2Mta capacity unit is to be located at WBIDC Panagarh Industrial Park in Burdwan district of West Bengal at an investment of INR500 crore [INR5bn/US$73m]," a statement by Emami Cement said. Yoo Gyeong CM Co of Korea has awarded a contract to Loesche for the grinding of granulated blast furnace slag at its brownfield KyungNam terminal. Tianjin Cement Industry Design & Research Institute (TCIDRI) has placed an order for a Loesche LM 48.4 vertical roller mill (VRM) for the 'Sivas 2 RM' project by Votorantim Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS in Turkey.
