Wonder Cement to commission grinding unit

India’s Wonder Cement is ready to start operations at its 2Mta clinker grinding unit in Dhule, Maharashtra, according to The Hindu. The plant represents an investment of INR4.5bn (US$64.54m) by the company. "The Dhule plant, which will commence operations on Monday, will distribute cement mainly across Maharashtra, while a minimal quantity would be supplied to Madhya Pradesh. The plant will supply mainly to North Maharashtra and Thane, Mumbai and Pune," said Managing Director, JC Toshniwal....

Paraguay's INC to inaugurate new Villeta mill

Industria Nacional del Cemento (INC) will inaugurate its new US$11.5m cement mill tomorrow, enabling the plant to increase production by 50 per cent, according the cement company. The new 80tph mill has been operational since February, working in parallel with the old mill, which was installed in 1985. Output is expected to rise to 390,000t at Villeta. As a result, the company expects to increase its market share from a current 51 per cent to 70-75 per cent and increase revenues by US$50m.

Mordovcement carries out modernisation plan

Mordovcement plant, part of Eurocement, is implementing its modernisation plan to increase the reliability of existing equipment and further automate the productioni process, according to Esmerk Russian News. The cement producer is investing in a new cement milling shop, which will enable the semi-dry plant to produce cement and improve the company’s total performance.

Dinçer Çimento orders two Gebr Pfeiffer mills for Bilecik unit

Dinçer Çimento has ordered a Gebr Pfeiffer MVR 5000 R-4 raw mill and an MPS 250 BK coal mill for its Bilecik plant, Turkey. Featuring a drive power of 3800kW, the MVR 5000 R-4 mill will grind 425tph of raw material to a fineness of 12 per cent R90µm. In addition to the mill, Germany-based Gebr Pfeiffer will supply the cyclone collector, the mill fan and dampers. State Bank of Pakistan reports FDI fall for cement sector

According to data of the State Bank of Pakistan, country has received a net foreign direct investment (FDI) of US$1.381bn in July-Dec 2017-18 compared to US$1.421bn in same period last year. This translates a fall of 2.8 per cent of foreign investment in Pakistan.   Out of this FDI, the net investment for cement sector during July-Dec 2017-18 stood at US$18.7m compared to US$20.4m in July-Dec 2016-17. Cimburkina lays first stone of second Kossodo mill

HeidelbergCement-owned Cimburkina has officially laid the first stone of its second mill at its Kossodo plant in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on 1 February. The 150tph mill will lift capacity at the site to 2Mta and represents an investment of XOF15bn (US$28.5m). The project will also see the construction of a 2000t silo and a new bagging line.

Arabian Cement Co expects the commercial operation of the grinding unit at its Rabigh plant, Saudi Arabia, to start in the 3Q18, instead of the earlier-announced 4Q17. Nepalese cement producer Kapilvastu Cement Udhyog Pvt Ltd, part of the Ghorahi Cement Group,  has awarded the order for a vertical roller mill to Germany's Gebr Pfeiffer SE.
