Eurocement modernises Katavskiy Cement grinding section

Russia-based Eurocement has invested more than RUB180m (US$2.8m) in the modernisation of the grinding system at its Katavskiy Cement plant. The project saw input from several European equipment suppliers. Germany-based grinding specialist Gebr Pfeiffer has won the order for a vertical roller mill from Algematco Steel in Algeria. Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Co plans grinding facility

Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Co is planning a cement grinding unit at its Satpura Thermal Power Station in Sarni, Betul district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The company will offer a maximum of 4.25ha of land near its thermal power plant on payment of lease charges for 30 years and 0.25Mt of dry fly ash will be supplied free-of-cost basis during this period. The project team is currently evaluating tenders.

Chariot Steel and Power plans 300tpd grinding unit

Chariot Steel and Power Ltd intends to build a cement grinding plant at Kalunga Estate, Sundergarh district, Odisha, India. The unit, located on a 10acre site will produce 300tpd of OPC, PPC and PSC cement. Equipment for the INR124.7m (US$1.1m) project is yet to be ordered and Chariot currently is awaiting environmental clearance. Project completion is scheduled in 10 months from zero date.

Maadesh Cements plans cement grinding unit in Tamil Nadu

India-based Maadesh Cements is planning the two-phase construction of a 300tpd cement grinding unit in Kattur village, Vellore district, Tamil Nadu. The first phase will see the building of a 100tpd plant. To build the works the company has acquired a 1.57ha plot of land and estimates the project cost at INR50m (US$721,175). MI Cement to raise debt for Bangladeshi grinding unit

MI Cement Factory Ltd is expected to raise foreign currency loans from HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank to finance its sixth line at its West Mukterpur, Munshiganj district of Bangladesh, according to the company’s Senior General Manager, Mozharul Islam. The US$70m project will add 8400tpd of grinding capacity to the site’s current capacity of 19,400tpd. Commercial production at the new unit is scheduled to start in January 2021.

Chile-based Cementos Melón has announced that it will open a new cement facility in Punta Arenas in the first half of 2020.
