Pakistan's cement industry saw a negative trend in export revenue on the back of a range of factors, including a slowdown in economic activity in Pakistan and overseas. Fauji Cement Co Ltd (FCCL) heads to become the third-largest cement producer with a total cement production capacity of 10.5Mta in Pakistan, according to AKD Research. India’s cement producers have added around 7Mta of cement production capacity in the last few weeks alone as their expansion plans continue. Pakistan’s Maple Leaf Cement Factory Ltd has reported consolidated sales of PKR17,038m (US$59.9m) in the quarter ended 31 March 2023.
