Guinée Industries Ciments selects KHD’s COMFLEX technology

Guinée Industries Ciments (GIC) awarded KHD Humboldt Wedag a new contract to upgrade its cement grinding plant located in the capital city Conakry, Guinea. India: Shree Cement orders three kiln lines from KHD

Shree Cement has awarded KHD three more kiln lines to install, each with a capacity of 6000tpd, the first being a second line at Shree’s Raipur plant. This new line will be built in Karnataka using a three-string preheater, six-stage preheater and wil include a three-pier rotary kiln (5.4/5.m x 75m), plus a Pyrojet ® burner and Pyrostep ® clinker cooler. Shree Cement has already implemented 11 KHD high-efficiency kiln lines and several grinding stations, including 10 KHD roller presses....

Germany: KHD suffers 1H16 revenue fall by 25.5%

KHD's 1H16 revenue amounted to EUR66.6m, considerably lower than the figure for the previous year (EUR89.4m). Reasons for the decrease of 25.5 per cent are the relatively low order backlog at the beginning of the year, delays in project execution, reductions in order value and order intake that did not materialise in the 1H16. Negative order intake of EUR1.1m for KHD in 1Q16

Order intake in the first quarter of 2016 was negative at EUR-1.1m. This is due to the low level of new business (EUR12.8m), order cancellations and reductions (EUR-9.1m) the company stated as well as the effects of currency exchange rates on the order backlog. The Supervisory Board of KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG (KHD) today informed the KHD Management Board about the resignation of Johan Cnossen as CEO and member of the Management Board with immediate effect. Mr Cnossen has decided to step down for personal reasons. His responsibilities will be taken over for an interim period by the other Management Board members, KHD said in a statement.
