Ultracem plans new Honduran plant

Construction growth and increased cement demand in Honduras are prompting cement producer Ultracem to make plans for a new cement plant in Cortés in the northwest of the country. The World Cement Association (WCA) has welcomed the Colombian cement company Ultracem as a Corporate Member. The Association now has a membership made up of 69 members and representatives that cover 38 countries. Ultracem SAS, a new entrant on the Colombian cement market, has initiated operations of a cement grinding plant supplied by Gebr Pfeiffer Inc at its plant in Barranquilla.
