Cement consumption in Argentina increased by 13.2 per cent YoY and seven per cent MoM to 1,226,646t in August 2022, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. In August 2021 demand reached 1,083,824t and in July 2022 1,146,900t was sold on the home market. Domestic cement producers manufactured a total of 1,231,760t of cement, up 12.3 per cent YoY and 6.9 per cent MoM. Cement demand in Argentina increased by 9.9 per cent in July 2022, according to the AFCP, the country cement association. Dispatches were up 3.9 per cent MoM to 1,146,900t. Holcim (Argentina) SA will set up a household waste processing plant in Las Heras, Mendoza province, Argentina, to process waste into an alternative fuel for Holcim’s cement plants. The Argentine cement demand increased by 9.6 per cent YoY in April 2022 to reach 1,039,320t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. In April 2021 cement’s consumption stood at 947,965t.
