Sabah Economic Development Corp (SEDCO) and Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (CIS) are reportedly considering plans to build a clinker plant to ensure supply into the Malaysian state, according to Bernama. India: Andani Group to construct new 10Mta clinker plant

Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, has announced that Adani Cementation (ACL) will be the name of a new company to set up a 10Mta clinker plant with an investment of INR55,000m (US$809.1m). JSW Group seeks to set up new Karnataka unit

JSW Group, is planning to set up a 3Mta clinker plant at Chittapur in Gulbarga district, in Karnataka state. The company is in the process of seeking statutory approvals to undertake exploratory drilling at a limestone deposit in Gulbarga. Savannah lines up new capacity investments

Savannah Cement, one of Kenya's newest market entrants, is set to build two new plants as it nears exhaustion of its current capacity, managing director, Ronald Ndegwa, said. The company has previously said it is to invest around US$250m for a clinker plant  at its Athi River factory to reduce reliance on imported clinker. PT Semen Bosowa Maros officially started construction on a new clinker plant in South Sulawesi as part of its expansion programme.
