In June 2017 compared with May 2017, seasonally-adjusted production in the construction sector decreased by 0.5 per cent in the euro area (EA19) and by 0.2 per cent in the EU28, according to first estimates by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. FLSmidth reported an 11 per cent rise in revenue and a 25 per cent increase in EBITA in the 2Q17, driven by continued momentum in in orders from service activities. Consolidated order intake grew by five per cent in the three month period while revenue rose to DKK4585m from DKK4135m a year earlier. Buzzi Unicem's first half turnover improved by 7.3 per cent to EUR1353.8m and EBITDA advanced by 8.4 per cent to EUR241.1m.
