Power Cement's Kiln Line III to resume operations by the end of April 2022

Power Cement Ltd informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on 11 April 2022, that a component of the new Line III of the company’s plant at Nooriabad Industrial Area, Kalo Kohar District, Jamshoroo, Sindh, was damaged at the end of January 2022.  According to Power Cement's Company Secretary, Salman Gogan, it does not expect an adverse financial impact due to the warranty coverage and the availability of stock sufficient to cover over two months of sales. Norcem temporarily halts production at plants

Norway-based Norcem has suspended operations at its Brevik and Kjøpsvik plants due to annual scheduled maintenance work and the crash of a central mill engine at Kjøpsvik. In addition, a supplier who should have carried out some of the maintenance work dropped out. Part of the production has been replaced by imports. CEO John Sunde says the company expects stocks to cleared but was unable to say for how long.

El Nahda Cement and ASEC extend technical management contract

The contract between El Nahda Industries ( El Nahda Cement) and The Swiss Arab Engineering Company (ASEC) has been renewed and the cooperation between the two companies will continue for another year until 31 March   2023. Maintenance took place at CBR’s Antoing cement plant for a period of  three weeks  (between 17 January  and 6 February 2022). All of CBR’s maintenance teams were mobilised to carry out a set of tasks. Tarmac’s Dunbar Cement plant has given its Marubeni Komatsu PC2000’ backhaul excavator a seven-week overhaul. Riyadh Cement completes record kiln operation

Saudi Arabia-based Riyadh Cement Co has completed its longest kiln operation without interruption with 70 days of continuous operation (1676.67h) without any single minute interruption.
