Podilskyi Tsement increases cement production

Associated Cement Companies Ltd, India’s second-biggest cement maker, said on Monday its June shipments rose 10.5 per cent from a year ago to 1.47Mt. The Bombay-based company said production totalled 1.44Mt, up 9.9 per cent on year.

China and Asean are scheduled to lower tariffs on industrial goods from July 20, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said today. Ube Industries, Japan, said Monday it will begin the production and sales of ready-mix concrete in China. The company will establish a wholly owned unit, named Nantong Ube Concrete Co., in Nantong, Jiangsu Province by the end of this month and start  construction of a plant within the current fiscal 2005.
