Cemex is joining forces with integrated chemicals and energy company Sasol ecoFT and renewable energy company E NERTRAG in a milestone project that will combine CO 2 with hydrogen to produce sustainable aviation fuel.     The consortium will source green hydrogen generated exclusively from wind and solar energy from E NERTRAG . Swiss cement market sees 10% pick-up in 1Q22

Cement deliveries in Switzerland increased 10.2 per cent to 950,556t in the first quarter of 2022 when compared with 862,210t in the 1Q21, according to the Swiss cement association, cemsuisse. Hanson UK ( HeidelbergCement ) plans to build the UK’s first net-zero cement factory at a facility in north Wales. Paddy Mohan, Mannok's Cement sales director, has taken the role of Vice Chairperson for the Mineral Products Association Northern Ireland (MPANI), an industry body which represents the entire mineral products industry in Northern Ireland and an organisation which Paddy has been a member of for 24 years. This new role marks an important milestone for Paddy as he previously had to step down from his role of vice chairperson shortly after he was elected in 2009 due to an illness.
