Quarry control and fleet management systems are often used by large mining operations but can also offer significant benefits to smaller quarries. Real-time data flow not only enables cement companies to optimise their quarry operations in terms of fleet movement but also other tasks, such as crushing and blasting. Managing quarrying operations effectively is a complex task. Limestone quarries that do not have the ability to capture production data and fleet performance by automated means can result in operations with unreliable data as a basis. This in turn can translate to unproductive periods and increased maintenance costs.
