Thermo Electron Corporation continues to enjoy steady orders

For the first half of 2003, Thermo Electron Corporation has continued to enjoy the steady order performance for ARL X-ray analysers that was achieved over 2002. No less than 17 orders were obtained from the cement industry during these six months.

Both the ARL 9800 XP and the mid-power ARL 9800 OASIS have been ordered seven times each. The mid-power sequential XRF ARL ADVANT’X has been chosen once while two orders were placed for the new low power ARL OPTIM’X. Contracts originate from four continents including countries as varied as Switzerland, Spain, Serbia, Senegal, Tanzania, South Africa, Turkmenistan, Korea, Colombia and Mexico. The company was also happy to celebrate the first orders from the cement industry of Russia (Voskresenksk Lafarge) and China (Harbin Cement, Liyang Yangzi Cement, Zheijiang Jinshou Cement and Shandong Lucheng Cement).
