Colombia’s cement producers raise output by 16% in March 2014

Colombia’s cement production rose in March 2014 by 16 per cent, particularly in Cundinamarca (+35 per cent), Antioquia (+33.3 per cent), Bogotá (+22 per cent) and Valle del Cauca (+26 per cent).

These latest advances in output see first-quarter 2014 cement production increase by 9.8 per cent, underlining previous expectations that the construction sector is contributing significantly to the country’s economic growth.
