Unión Andina de Cementos SAA (Unacem), Peru’s largest cement producer, reported a 2.6 per cent increase in consolidated sales to PEN7.04bn (US$1.88bn) for FY2025, supported by stable cement demand in its core Peruvian market and a gradual recovery in Chile.
Group EBITDA declined by 3.1 per cent year-on-year to PEN1.61bn, reflecting ongoing cost pressures and weaker conditions in the US construction market. However, the company maintained resilient operating performance, underpinned by disciplined cost control and efficiency gains across its cement operations.
As detailed in its 2025 Integrated Report, Unacem continued to optimise plant performance and advance its decarbonisation strategy, including further reductions in clinker factor and increased use of alternative fuels. These measures form part of the group’s broader roadmap towards carbon neutrality by 2050, while also supporting cost efficiency in a challenging operating environment.
The company also strengthened its integrated model across cement, concrete and energy, with its UNICON division expanding ready-mix volumes and CELEPSA increasing power generation, helping to mitigate input cost volatility.
Looking ahead, Unacemis entering the next phase of its 2030 strategy, shifting from consolidation to growth, with a focus on operational excellence, higher-value downstream products and sustainable cement production.
