Pakistan’s cement industry recorded a growth of five per cent YoY in total dispatches from 3.351Mt to 3.52Mt in August 2019.  However, a reverse trend of 27.2 per cent was noted, when compared with the figure 4.838Mt in July 2020. All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) has issued official dispatch data for July 2020, adding that the new fiscal has started well for the cement sector as the shipments increased by 37.8 per cent from 3.512Mt in July 2019 to 4.838Mt in July 2020 on the back of buoyant export and domestic demand. Pakistan’s cement industry during the FY19-20 (July 2019-June 2020) recorded a rise of two per cent to 47.81Mt in total cement dispatches from 46.88Mt in FY18-19. The Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) of Pakistan has released cement export data for the 10 months of July 2019 to April 2020.
